I understand your perspective, and totally agree with it. The language of DID is poor. The problem is, do we throw the entire thing out, because of poor language? If I have a client who states sie has DID I'm not going to treat her differently, though I will understand certian aspects of her life story better. If someone knows that sie has DID sie can now look and find information based on that understanding. What I *generally* am opposed to even existing is the personality disorders. Though I can see some benifit to them also.
