fictional autistic multiple

Hi :). Don't know if it's of any use for the book, but we've been meaning to bring this up for some time: there is a fictional example of autism and multiplicity being combined in one person. It's in The Speed Of Dark (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/0345447549/), which is a notable book for several other reasons: it has the first adult autistic protagonist (that we know of, at least), and it goes into stuff like societal prejudices and the "cure" debate; the author has discussed these things with autistics online to get an inside perspective, which is also somewhat extraordinary.
