Hi, I'm Amanda. I just joined this community and I thought Id say 'Hi' to everyone.

Also there's a question that I'd like to ask and I hope no-one minds. In my system I would be considered to be an 'alter', but I really don't like that term. So I was wondering how anyone else describes that, as something a little more friendly, and something that shows us as individuals rather than as just - 'alters'.

co-inhabitant? umm.. tenent? my Host and I use a car analogy - as in, one of us drives, and occasionally the other steals the keys for a moment - so that makes me a passenger ::grin::

We say "insiders"

Those in the empowered multiple community refer to themselves as 'people'. I do the same. When I wish to be unambiguous about if people are within a multiple system or not I say 'system members'.

We call 'em "others". Sometimes capitalized, depending on who's talking, and who they're talking about.
