In the process of explaining the song, she explains that it is a song about one of the "people who live in her head" all with a sort of humor to allow the audience to laugh it off if they choose. She apparently speaks to the people in her head to help her sort through difficult situations.

This particular song was about one of the ones which she had struggled in dealing with, so she wrote a song about the whole situation called "My Lydia".

It very much seems throughout the entire process that she is describing some form of plurality within herself. The lyrics to her music as a whole, has also seemed, to me, to have some themes which are particularly poignant and insightful, and informed by a similar perspective on life as several of us.
