I was rather glad to see you were all posting to LJ instead of avoiding communicating with each other, for what it's worth. I just wasn't really sure what to say or how to say it.
It interested me to see how Dan was better at CS while Pip's more musical. Music, computer science, and related talents (physics, math) all run strongly through our mother's side of the family, and seem to be related to each other - almost as if each family member has the ability to be good at any or all of them, but how that ability expresses itself depends on the individual - how they chose to pursue it and how they explored such talents growing up. Perhaps each of you is expressing some underlying talent in your own particular way?
