Someone tried to do a MultiCon a few years back, but they couldn't work it out.

IMO-- the main reason it didn't work was because they were trying to book it at a hotel, and charging US$200 for a reservation. They got some signups, but not enough. Most people don't have that kind of money to spare-- I know we certainly don't.

If anyone actually wants to go ahead with a serious multiples' convention, it should probably be more along the lines of Autreat (http://ani.autistics.us/autreat.html)-- small, informal, in a relaxing environment. I'm not sure if we'd be excited about workshops or panels, although the option should be left open. For us, the main attraction would be the idea of actually getting to meet and hang around with other multiples offline-- I suspect this would be the case for many, especially those who don't know any others in their day-to-day life.
