Our therapist has supposedly been working with multiples for many years, we think she said 20, but we might have mis-heard. Regardless of how long she's been working with multiples, it was our third session when she said that we were parts ... and would not accept our view that we are complete people who just happen to share this body. We're parts and we have to use her terms ... she told us that in almost those words.
